Five tiers, earned in order, each one checked by a person. This page says exactly what happens at each step so you can judge what a badge is worth.
A single green tick tells a guardian nothing. Our Trust Ring shows which of five checks a tutor has passed, in order, so you can see how far someone has actually come rather than being asked to trust a word.
A one-time code sent to an email address, which then becomes the account's identity. Codes expire in five minutes, are single-use, and three wrong attempts close the attempt.
What it proves: someone reads mail at that address today. It is the floor, not a recommendation.
The tutor uploads their National ID. A staff reviewer compares the name and date of birth against the profile, and rejects a mismatch with a reason the tutor can act on.
What it proves: the name on the profile is the name on a government document.
Degree certificates, transcripts or an institutional ID, checked by a reviewer against the institution and the years claimed. Documents live in private storage and are opened only through short-lived signed links.
What it proves: the education claimed on the profile was checked by a person, not accepted from a form.
A previous guardian or institution is contacted directly and asked about attendance, preparation and whether they would hire again. The reference is recorded with who made the call.
What it proves: someone who has actually worked with this tutor was willing to say so.
A subject interview with an experienced teacher, covering both the subject and how they would explain it to a struggling student. This is the only tier that can be failed on teaching rather than on paperwork.
What it proves: they can teach the subject, not only pass in it. The only badge we mark in brass.
A verification decision records who made it and when, and every staff view of a private document is written to an audit trail. A tier can be revoked as well as granted — if a document turns out to be forged, the badge goes and the account goes with it.
Verification describes what was checked at a point in time. A tutor who is suspended loses their listing entirely; a tutor whose reference is withdrawn loses that tier. The ring shows what is true now.
Each tier you clear moves you up the ranking and unlocks month-end billing instead of paying within 48 hours. Phone verification takes a minute.
